Brown's arrangements used the distorted, manic Hammond organ playing of keyboardist Vincent Crane to emphasize the frightening mood created by Brown's vocal screams and satanic lyrics. In 1969, Arthur Brown and his group The Crazy World of Arthur Brown released their biggest hit, "Fire (I am the God of Hellfire)," another satanic anthem. Another song on the same album, "The Wizard," describes white magic: "Spreading his magic/evil power disappears/demons worry when the wizard is near." Other rock bands used similar sonic tropes to evoke supernatural evil. Black Sabbath evoked the full spectrum of magic on their first release.
